Check-in with your senses!
What am I seeing?
What am I feeling?
What am I hearing?
What am I tasting?
What am I smelling?
Practicing mindfulness and meditation used to INTIMIDATE me. “There’s no way I can do that. My brain is too crazy and chaotic to not have thoughts.”
These practices are NOT about not having thoughts. Mindfulness and meditation is more about allowing and accepting your thoughts. Being aware and fully present. Once I learned this AND saw the benefit when I implemented them into my routine… I TOTALLY GET IT NOW 👏🏼
2-3 times a day I make it a point to check-in with my senses. My favorite time to do this is when I’m with my kids. It allows me to fully appreciate every little detail… 🤍
